Lobotomized
OfficialJT for Chester
A grand ray of sunshine with two braincells, Chester (they/them) is the only character in Lobotomized that does not originate from Lobotomy Corporation. They (somehow) got this job straight out of being a barista days ago, and know little to nothing about the company. Chester is determined to not go back home to the point they're willing to wade through the terrors of being indirectly responsible for innumerable deaths. Unfortunately, they're not too ready to harden themselves to that fact and will struggle to balance keeping up the confidence act, while wearing their heart on their sleeve and trying their best to make everyone safe and happy.
The ideal voice actor for this is able to go from quiet to screaming to quiet at the drop of a hat. Expect to do a lot of shocked, nervous, or excited reaction lines as this character. An effeminate male voice is ideal for this Chester (women are absolutely encouraged to audition too!), as quite a few scenes use 'cutesy' or 'motivational' lines as an authority figure. Lastly, this is a character with many of the traits of a shounen protagonist with none of the powers, with some camp and 'queer-coded villain' traits sprinkled in.
*NOTE, there is a chance I will take on this role should there be few or no workable auditions. For that reason, I heavily encourage people to audition for this, as it's not great form for a producer to voice the lead*
[Somewhat despondent, asked if everything was alright] Yeah..just a little back pain. It's either from posture, or realizing I'm alone in carrying this emotional burden. Time will tell.
[pacing, trying to talk themselves up] It's just like at the coffee shop. Read the manual, follow the recipe, and if anyone asks how it's going, you say it's great even if it feels like there's a weight on your CHEST AND YOU CAN'T BREATHE!
[politely supportive, talking to their employee] We both know we're trying, and are probably going to screw up along the way. So the least we can do is stick together. Why beat yourself up?
