New York City never fails to amaze me..

JADE throws her oversized shoulder bag onto the couch and decides to make pasta. She lets the water boil and makes her way to the living room. As she reaches for the remote, she notices a neatly folded note in the side pocket of her bag. She grabs the note quickly out of curiosity and reads it aloud, uncertain what the note could say.

JADE [CONT’D]

Jade, the love of my life. I’ve seen you on the subway for many days at a time, and somehow you always seem to catch my eye. Though I’ve never had the courage to speak to you myself, I’ve always wanted to talk to you. Your bright smile, the way your eyes glimmer under the subway lights of crappy New York City.
