Tails is Sonic’s best buddy and little brother. Not much is known of his true origin but, he was only four years old when Sonic found him on South Island. Tails was born with two tails which made him an easy mark for bullies on South Island, causing him to have a pretty low self esteem. But after tinkering with Sonic’s plane, he accidentally caught the hedgehog’s attention. Sonic took him in as his little brother and the two formed an unbreakable bond. 

Tails has followed Sonic through all his adventures as his partner, pilot, technician and voice of reason. Despite his intellect, Tails is rather shy and self conscious of himself, but his time with Sonic has taught him to value the traits that make him unique which led to him becoming very capable and independent without Sonic to hold his hand. Tails is as smart as they come, he’s even able to keep up with Dr Eggman’s intellect. However, he is still a kid. He can be a little naive at times and he sometimes struggles under pressure, but if Sonic has taught him anything, it’s to never give up.
