Hope is Despair's younger sister, and the girl their parents had been trying for for so long, and had nearly given up on. She's presented psychopathic personality traits for a very long time, but wether she's an actual medical crazy chick or just extremely jealous and taking it out on everyone around her? Who can say! Hope works in the Shiakastian dungeons, she's an executioner because Shiakaste is a cruel country, and she's freakishly good and creative with torture, so she was hand picked by the king. One well known fact about her is that she hates Despair more than anything else, so she takes literally every possible chance to make his life miserable on the rare occasions they see each other as adults living in different countries. She is a fairly important antagonist in the first season.
(Speaking to a prisonner) Well well well, good morning~! Did you sleep well strung up on the wall like painting~? You're not quite as pretty as an art piece though, just not enough blood~!
(Answering someone, or just talking to herself cause she's a lil' crazy and likes to practice her evil monologues) Why do I hate my brother? Well, I don't hate all of them~! The stupid ones that do whatever I say are great, but, Despair on the other hand? Easy. I hate him because he thinks he's better than me. (A little quieter, more like she's talking to herself and no longer someone else) Running off on some stupid adventure, having friends... ugh. What a pain.
(On the brink of an outburst, reacting to someone trying to calm her down when something went wrong for her and prisonners escaped) Pfft, and what are you trying to do, get me to calm down, tell me we'll figure it all out and get it back under control?! No, so shut up! I'm in charge, you're just a stupid soldier and you're supposed to do what I tell you, so DO IT, NOW! Go after them, and bring them back to me!
