StormRed for Dex
Summary: Dex is quite an unexpected type for a superhero. Light-hearted, a total softie, Cool-as-a-cucumber and a bit of a joker, he's the type that comes out with the sort of laid-back or infuriating comments that make the villains' eyebrows raise or twitch in annoyance. Still, he is true to his morals, caring, protective and will do whatever he can to avoid violence. He is pretty pacifistic, loves cute things and considers himself quite heroic, risk-taking in the name of justice. Dex is noble, loyal, dedicated and somewhat stubborn, pushing himself to keep going and going and never give up. He likes to ‘smooth talk’ his way out of trouble to stall the bad guys for as long as he can. He acts rather casual and calm, but when his life is really put in danger, Dex actually turns out to be rather vulnerable. He’s a precious bean deep down, but abandonment and betrayal hurt him a lot. He's pretty sensitive as a result. Getting caught up in heroic stuff is just another day for him and his partner Val and he'll do whatever he can to prove himself, even if at times he does doubt that he's not a hero. Like Ash and Slade, he has healing abilities of his own, although his are exceptionally well developed, able to heal himself and others within seconds to minutes. That probably explains his current position as a 'patient' within the walls of the institute, but with the other escaped patients and his close friend Benji's rescue attempt underway, that hopefully shouldn't be for much longer.
Appearance: Arc I (Ch 4-5, 7, 12, 13)
Personality: Soft, Caring, Compassionate, Selfless, Warm, Humorous, Well-mannered, Sensitive, Brave, Confident, Pacifistic, Loyal, Stubborn and Headstrong.
Voice: Bright and friendly, pitch being mid-mid high. He should sound pretty enthusiastic and optimistic, with awkward pauses now and again and the tendency to sometimes get a little too over-excited at times. He doesn't raise his voice often and whilst able to throw in definite snark at the bad guys, he isn't the type to curse or swear. He's too heroic for that after all.

[Relieved] Whew! Thanks so much for the save! Just in time too, those chains were really starting to chafe - plus those idiot guards kinda stole my spare lockpicks, so aheh [Slightly awkward]...real smooth going, amirite? . [changing the subject brightly]...But anyway! I'm Dex - a superhero! What about you, lil buddy? [Questioning] You look...kinda young to be here.
[In agreement] Yeeeah, we'd better get out of here before that creepy doc comes back. That guy gives me a serious case of the heebie jeebies. [Quite casually and comically] He could really use a hobby, something relaxing like...flower arranging or yoga or something that's not...you know, freaky experiments and procedures and stuff. I'd kinda prefer not to get inside work experience of those operating theatres, as cool as it would be for my resume. I happen to be pretty attached to my organs.
[Reassuring and confident] Hey, don't worry about it! It barely left a scratch on me - literally! I told you my regenerative powers work super fast - uh, pun totally not intended - but yeah. I'll be just fine! [A little quieter] I'd be more worried for the doc and his dumb goons if Val hears about this because she might...you know uh...kill them…[Changing the subject quickly after a Pause] B-But I won't let that happen! First rule of being a super - do good and save the day with the least amount of violence. Violence is...never the answer. ...But yeah! If any of you got any injuries back there, just let me know and I'll patch it up right away.
[Chomp chomp] Oh man, this is so good! Real good! [chomp chomp] Mmm...I might have to have fourth helpings~! ….[Pouting defensively] Hey, don't look at me like that! It takes a lot of energy to heal myself and other people. It's not my fault my abilities consume so many calories and leave me with such an appetite that I can finish a whole bag of burritos within minutes! [chomp] A super's got to eat!
[Fondly] Aww, you're so cute~ Well, sure I mean, there’s definitely some differences between our capacity to heal and that, but I’d be happy to try and teach you a bit - one super to another! [Enthusiastically and playful] All we need to get you is a lil mask and cape and then you could be my sidekick!
And next - Dex! I gotta say this one is my favourite out of the two of them. You got some really good energy, cool-casualness, dragging out of vowels and the nice little shudder thrown in was really cool. A great fit for Dex's voice! :D It sounded so smooth and relaxed, I loved the changes in volume where appropriate and it was just a great all round audition, nice job! :D I don't actually have much feedback for you here at all, so really good job! Thank you so much for taking the time to submit to us and take care for now Storm! :D
