Proteus is a sailor-turned-fighter-pilot hailing from Magadan. The oldest among Blaze squadron, he is able to drop a nugget of wisdom every now and then when he's not going on about the "wonders of the sea". Ironically holding a deep-seeded hatred for airplanes, this inadvertently made him very proficient in air-to-ground combat and aircraft handling, making Blaze Squadron a genuine threat on most fronts. He is usually aloof when it comes to logistics or complicated tactics, but rarely sees a situation that he cannot overcome through sheer willpower and ingenuity alone. Despite his strange fascinations and odd qualities, he is commonly resided in by the rest of his team.

Being distinct in both his accent and the content of his speech, Proteus is a notable contrast to much of Blaze Squadron, but this changes nothing in his willingness to get the job done. He sees his experience with the team as a opportunity to observe, learn, and eventually leave the sky behind him. An air of unconventional intelligence and wisdom mixed with very staunch and proud opinions. Russian accent is heavily preferred (try not to ham it up too much), but a convincing accent of any Eastern European countries will be considered as well.
