Neon is a spoiled and self-centered young lady. She throws tantrums whenever she does not get things her way. She is shown to be childlike in the way she lacks empathy for others.[7] However despite her childlike selfishness and general lack of empathy for others, Neon is indeed shown to possess the capacity for such emotion when she first showed empathy towards her attendant Eliza, who collapse and cried in grief due to the death of Squala, causing her to then feel guilty for her continued selfish persistence to remain in the city and finally caved in to her father's demand for her to return home.
