Hello there, my name is Zachary as you might be able to tell from my profile page. For a while now I've had an idea of what I wanted to do with my life.
"Create stories people line up on the block for"
The idea of videogame/film director always came to mind. Unfortunately finding a clear path to such a goal has always alluded me. For a long time I quite simply just "existed" at home, my job, and so on.
One time while sitting in a long silence with one friend online I came up with a peculiar question out of the blue.
"How would you describe me when it comes to conversations?'
To which my friend would reply...
"You tend to be pretty quiet, but if someone else brings up a topic you have a lot to say about it. kind of like a talk-show host."
This is the earliest I can remember of an idea starting to form. The seed that would bring me to where I am now. Eventually one of my friends online said...
"You're so funny man, you should like be a voice actor or something."
Another prod into the direction I would later choose.
Some time after this, I found myself one morning toiling away at my job. Doing the same routine I had been for close to a year now when it suddenly hit me. An urge to do something far different than before. A great need for change.
I went through my options and decided to give voice acting a try. Spent time researching and buying up equipment. Talked to some friends with prior experience. All of these things would lead to this moment where I share my story with whomever is reading this.
I hope to look back on this and smile, thinking to myself...
"That was the day I changed it all."
