Ayumi is a quiet and reserved girl, since she doesn’t want to get on the bad side of anyone. She’s very kind to the people around her, this makes her sweet to many people’s eyes. Due to her kind nature, she keeps a lot of things to herself and doesn’t express much of her feelings to anyone. This is due to losing her family at a young age. Her brother and parents went to war and died serving their people. Ayumi felt alone for a long time until Kaguno befriended her and helped her. Ever since they were kids Ayumi had a crush on him. It’s finally built up all the way to love. Ayumi is a strong person with a kind heart. She doesn’t want others to go through the same pain and loneliness she felt. Due to this, she distances herself a lot from people. 

Ayumi made a promise to Kaguno’s mother that she would protect him, this created a sort of burden on her that she must stick to him no matter what and ensure his survival. She rather die, in the place of others. She has strong feelings for Kaguno, but due to their mission as Aikirians, her promise, her insecurities, she’s overwhelmed and unable to accept her feelings for Kaguno, she doesn't want to listen to her heart.

She may seem weak, but in reality she is a strong and powerful warrior. She can sometimes be very cold hearted when it comes to serious matters. She's very supportive of her friends and will do anything to protect those she care about.
