Mercenary and assassin who was hired by Marquis Haruka to prevent Shirayuki from entering the castle and meeting Zen. He is rather aloof and tends to work alone, but treasures his eventual friendships with Zen and Shirayuki. Minor-Supporting who first appears in Chapter 3, but will have a much bigger role as support lead in later chapters. Voice Range: Med High - Med Low (Feel free to use the official anime dub as reference, but we are casting based on your own twist and performance to the character.)
[Obi is perched on a tree, spying on Zen and Shirayuki, who are conversing and walking at the hallway.]
"That red-haired girl is Prince Zed's friend...huh?"
[Obi is acting as a messenger, trying to trick the gatekeepers, Kai and Shiira, into keeping Shirayuki from entering the palace.]
"I bring a message from his highness, "Regarding the treatment of Shirayuki, there have been many complaints from the followers. Therefore, permission for her to enter the palace will be void from now one."
[After Shirayuki's confrontation with Haruka, Obi is impressed by her and gives up, expressing to Zen that he's not a threat.]
"You don't have to stay on guard too much. I will not lay my hands on her anymore. I've taken a liking to her. Besides, it look like she will be a good influence on you."
Thank you for auditioning. I like how you try out different voices for Obi, though I think they sound too bold for him. There is a weird breath noise in the beginning that can be taken out.
I can see where your coming from, might be a little too tongue and cheek in the last one when considering he is talking to someone of a higher status. As for the breath noise, i can't seem to pick it up but my headphones are a little on the old side so that might be the issue there. Really appreciate the feedback, thank you!
