A broken man who lost everything, including command of the MCU after the Wayne Murders were never solved. The shame of his new status caused his wife to divorce him and relocate out of Gotham with his kids, whom he barely gets to see anymore. The demotion at work and his divorce has caused him to become a laughing stock at the GCPD and the once proud, energetic man became a belligerent slob and alcoholic.
Pay no attention to him, Jim. He’s probably on drugs, him and the whole lot of them. Years ago criminals used to talk about “The Grim Reaper” himself shooting up and slashing them and their friends with a sword or something, like he was out on a vendetta or somethin’. Gotham City is just a strange and crazy place, the water does somethin’ to da criminals!
Five years. They are in Starling City now. All the way across the country in California. I am lucky if I get to see the kids twice a year. Last Christmas my kids wore name tags when they came to see me.
