Ratchet didn't expect one of his first medical operations to be in the middle of a battle, but he's determined to save every patient that crosses his table. While he may be beginning to get a little along in years, he can still wreck and roll with even the most spry of Autobots. 

This version of Ratchet is more middle aged than elderly compared to recent iterations of the character. While Ratchet in Transformers: Animated and Prime was usually a dependable confidant and straight man of the group, this version isn't exactly mellowing with age. If anything, he's found that perhaps being a soldier is more of a true calling to him than field medic, and is capable of going off books if he feels what he's doing is right. The voice will need to match his more volatile nature, but retain the kindness that Ratchets of the past have been known to show (TFA Ratchet with Sari & Arcee, TFP Ratchet with the kids).
