Fallout: The Frontier Master Casting Call (Fallout New Vegas DLC Sized Mod)
Morgenstern for Sgt. Johnson
A loyal and efficient NCR Sergeant. While some of his colleagues are hardasses or way too chilled out, he's just somewhere in the middle, the ideal soldier.
Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.
For the audition line, you're giving a straight forward command to the latest recruit. You hope they stick to the orders as there are enough recruits to save from blowing themselves up in explosives training.
All right, grab your shit and head over to the hangars until you’re needed for your first mission. And don’t try to head out into the Frontier on your own. You won’t last very long.
Pacing was just a tad bit too fast and there's a bit of a droning background sound.
You need to check yourself, bro. I see you publicly criticizing every audition that comes your way, and no legitimate casting director in this industry would ever try so hard to disrespect talent like that. You should know better as an up-and-coming film school student.
The goal here is to provide constructive criticism, not to make people feel bad. Constructive criticism is a core component of the creative field. It's true that in the industry, it's less likely that you'll actually get feedback from the casting director, but it's most likely not because their afraid of making you feel bad.
You're not trying to mentor anyone with that kind of anal-retentive behavior, bro. What you're doing is gross and disrespectful. You don't have the industry experience or the temperament to be doing what you think that you're doing. This might be the most important comment that you'll read on this site. Praise in public, criticize in private, and never, ever give notes to talent in front of an audience. You are on your way, but you need to work on your social skills.
Firstly, the comments are not meant as mentorship. The comments are meant to guide the voice actress or actor to provide an audition that's similar to what we'd like in the project. If you define simply pointing out audio quality issues or areas where performance could be adjusted as gross and disrespectful, I don't believe the creative field is for you. If you don't believe me to be an adequate director for you, there's no need to continue following this project. It also is a bit presumptuous of you to feel the advice you're giving to be in comparison to the casting call tips page. Based on your definition of constructive criticism, what you suggested as "social etiquette" is how to make yourself not trustworthy and sketchy af. Talking behind the backs of others is a great way to get fired.
