Shadow is tormented after a traumatic event involving Silver and Dr. Eggman.  Though "dark and edgy" is his schtick, the Ultimate Life Form has surpassed his brooding tendencies and has become down-right depressed.  While he and Sonic are now close friends, it doesn't seem to help.   The village and the Blue Blur are beginning to contemplate if Shadow may be worse off than he's willing to let others see.  He's withdrawn and seems to carry a cloud over his head all the time these days.
