adamemeva for Sans
Sans is the older brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. Sans is shown to be very lazy and laid back, sleeping on the job and taking breaks often. He enjoys making bad, skeleton-related puns. He is kind and reassuring but becomes eerily serious at particular moments.
"Take care of yourself, kid, 'cause someone out there really cares about you."
"So long as you hold on... so long as you do what's in your heart... I believe you can do the right thing."
At least 30 seconds of canon dialogue or improvisation.
I love your Sans audition, I see far too many auditions that make him too gruff, raspy or void of emotion. Can't wait to see more of your work!
Hey, thank you! I really appreciate the kind words! I'm still fairly new to voice acting, so I'm happy to take any and all feedback/suggestions for improvements I can get.
i really like this voice! however, i might work on the slurring of your words a little bit. sans definitely does slur his speech, but i think doing it in the right places is key to making it sound natural - the "care of" part sounds a bit off to me. a really great take on his voice though!
p.s. i just wanted to make clear that i do really love your audition. i think the middle range is really suited for sans...even though a lot of people give him a super deep, bored voice. your audition here is really great!
I love that you took the dialogue from dying multiple times. Ugh, all of this is great. The only thing I would say is the s's need to be softened. They come across as pretty harsh slurs, at least at the beginning. But that's super easy to edit in either post or with the help of a pop filter if you don't already have one~
I've got a pop filter, but I'm afraid I think those harsh 's' sounds are just a part of my natural speech :'D I'll fiddle around with Audacity to see if I can soften them that way, though. Thanks for the pointers!
Don't worry about it man, we all have something that makes its way through! I had to take out a lot of wet noises on mine. If you ever can switch to Adobe Audition (I just did and oh my it's so great), there's an auto heal function that could soften it. I couldn't figure out the UI on Audacity as well, so idk if there's an equivalent function on there, but if you can find it you're probably set~
