Star Wars: TIE Fighter Mod - Soontir Fel
erictavares for Soontir Fel
Soontir Fel is an Imperial TIE Fighter ace. He appeared in a number of novels and we're looking to bring him to life in our game mod. Although he's had many appearances in novels and comics, he never appeared in any games and so his voice is not established - which gives us plenty to play with!
His character is a no nonsense pilot, with a strong sense of duty and family. He is an inspiring leader to the men and women under his command. At this point in Star Wars Legends canon, Soontir Fel, aged 27 with the rank of Captain, has recently taken command of the 181st, a very poor unit, which he is quickly turning into an efficient fighting force.
In terms of dialect, he's Corellian like Han Solo, so we're looking for something similar to Harrison Fords, but don't be afraid to play with affection and try a number of different styles to see what fits. He's a fighter ace not a space cowboy!
A little context for the three lines:
Line 1: A group briefing ahead of a mission.
Line 2: Addressing the pilots under his command from the cockpit of his TIE Fighter as they head into battle.
Line 3: A personal recording sent to the player by Soontir Fel. "Krelling" is a curse from the Star Wars universe.
Please feel free to submit multiple auditions if you like, and we look forward to hearing them!
Cheers!
All right, pilots, listen in. We're operating as a combined squadron on this one. Pay attention and some of you might learn something that will keep you alive.
This is Capain Fel to Gamma squadron... Follow my lead, remember your training, and you will survive.
So, I find myself even deeper in your debt! Not the type of place a Corellian usually likes to find himself! And I'm afraid I'm going to dig myself a little deeper yet. I need a pilot of your skill here in the One-Eighty-First. You saw what happened here. Krelling Bomber pilots couldn't even fly out of a hanger right. But believe me, I know these men, and there is great potential here. I just need someone who can help me inspire them, to show them they can be more than just blaster-fodder. I think you might be that pilot. Think it over. If you're up for it, I'll see you in the briefing room.
