Skywind: Morrowind reenvisioned! OLD PAGE
AdequateGirth for Orc

This is the old Casting Call Club page. Please audition here: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/skywind-morrowind-reenvisioned-2-59a7947b-85e2-4dd6-a564-2df70e50f4e7
Orcs in Morrowind, while not actually stupid, certainly have their intelligence allocated to parts of their brain other than those used for verbal communication. While they excel at war tactics and crafting, their tribal nature still shines through. For many, if not most, Cyrodillic (English) is used clumsily and their limited mastery of the language leaves other races assured of their stupidity. Orc voices should be deep and perhaps a bit gravelly. Tough. Delivery can even be a bit choppy and abrupt. Your voice should also account for the fact that orcs have huge tusks that get in the way of their speech. This would make 'S' sounds difficult. Esses would sound instead like Sean Connery esses, a little like 'sh'.
(Player dialogue Male)- You wanna help? Sure you do, good friend. Look--those guys in Caldera think I did something bad, so they're looking for me. I'm too smart for them, though. I can hide real good. My friend can help me. Maybe you bring her a note for me? I can give you a present. Really!(Player dialogue Female)- No. Of course not. I can't teach you spells. I'm NOT a necromancer. No. Absolutely not. Not a necromancer.- Where did you get that? That's MY copy of Legions of the Dead. Oh, all right. I'm a necromancer. Look. I'll teach you a spell, but you'll have to keep your mouth shut about this. I can teach you the Summon Ancestral Ghost spell, or, if you prefer, I can teach you Summon Skeletal Minion.
(Combat taunts)- You death will bring me great honor.- Our blood is made for fighting!- Weakling!- No surrender! No mercy!
(Taking damage)- Hurragh!- Groan.- AAAIIEE.- Umpfh.

Good delivery, but you seem to clipping in a few parts. Nothing is more frustrating than finally getting that perfect take and not being able to use it. Save yourself some time and try turning the gain down on your mic and stepping a few feet away. That seemed to work for me.

Hi thanks for the feedback, I just wanted to say that this was recorded in a not-so-good setup, I have a new set up now and I've got my mic settings where I want them, and I'd love to re-audition if I could.

Upload it a second time, and give it a shot!

Awesome! Will do, thank you!

Great work, AdequateGirth! Check your PMs for a message from one of our leads! :)
