Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.
For the first audition line, you want the courier to know quickly you are not to be trifled with even if you have an air of sophistication in the way you carry yourself. Even when people aren't speaking, you know what they are thinking.
For the second audition line, you are quite annoyed at this interruption of your work of interrogation but quickly compose yourself and go back to your usual calm, commanding, and calculating self. Emotions give away your inner thoughts and weaknesses, and that you can't have.
I'm not like the typical wasteland reject, Courier. I learned to become a doctor when I was very young. Do you know why? It wasn't because I desired to heal the wastes of its afflictions, but because I wanted to cleanse them. Being a doctor means you know exactly where to apply pressure to induce the utmost pain. Pain the average human mind cannot comprehend.
Can’t this wait? I’m a little busy right now.
Ehh, it's still not quite what we're hoping for. We'll stick with considering just the auditions you've submitted for now.
Oh well, I've done my best considering I've not had any verbal conversation with you. C'est La Vie if I don't get the part.
Generally, for me, I reserve verbal communication until after a casting decision has been made.
You basically expect us all to read your mind. Most of us need input from the creators.
Firstly, input has been provided through text directions within the initial character listing, to your original audition, and to your subsequent retakes. You could have also taken a look at what the other applicants have been submitting. If I was expecting mind reading, I would have provided no direction notes for each line initially and would have simply replied with "not what we're looking for" towards all auditions submitted that we didn't feel were quite right. Secondly, I'm not sure what casting calls you have been auditioning for but for a project of this scale with the number of auditions we receive and in an aim to maintain fairness to all applicants, I hope you can see the reasoning as to why we wouldn't offer a one on one voice directing session. I feel that we'll have to settle to agree to disagree on casting call practices. Best of luck on your future endeavors. P.S: If you plan on auditioning for projects hosted on the site in the future, I would advise getting used to the general workings of the site.
Oops, you misread me. Sorry, I was trying to say that some of us need verbal direction. Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as an ass. I've done other jobs and have talked with the creator both times so we'd be on the same page. Typing isn't my strong suit.
Actually, you didn't misread anything. I'm just a shitty typer.
And I can tell I blew my chances away by this, "Best of luck on your future endeavors". So, I thank you for at least giving me a chance. Good Luck and my apologies.
