Yuuri is rather timid and quiet at times. His introspection sometimes leads him into depression and isolation. Yuuri has admired Viktor from afar for many years and idolized him. Despite, the benefit of eventually becoming closer to Viktor, he uncovers a more sinister side to him that he wishes he didn’t see.
(disappointed, reflective) I was a fool for thinking I could finally meet my idol on the same playing field..but I was an even bigger fool for trusting him.
No! I want you to stay who you are, Victor! I've always looked up to you. I ignored you because I didn't want you to see my shortcomings. I'll make it all up to you through my skating!
