For the audition line, you are calmly giving a serious request. You really hope the courier takes what you're saying into consideration. You also wouldn't lash out if the courier would choose bloodshed over peace but if he/she could, that would feel nice as the wasteland would have been made a little bit better and someone could possibly turn a new leaf after being spared.
