Project Overview
Who are you and what is this series?
We're a small group of people dedicated to fandubbing the 1998 Toei-created Yu-Gi-Oh anime. It only aired once in 1998 and never received any re-runs or promotion outside of 1998 nor did it ever reach the West. As most of you will know Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters then premiered in 2000 and this series was never mentioned again. This series is what many fans call the "dark side" of Yu-Gi-Oh, showing the origins of the 'Yami no Game' otherwise known as Shadow Games in the 4kids Duel Monsters Dub. We have been fandubbing the series on-and-off since 2015 with 8 currently released full episodes and Part 1 of Episode 9 with Part 2 almost complete.
What do you need?
We're looking to increase our numbers. To add more cards to deck one may say. We have lost a leading role due to interest no longer being in Voice Acting so we need to replace said role and we are looking for others to help out with extra roles and also behind-the-scenes.
What are the requirements?
A few simple requests. One, this is currently not a paid role. Not to say in the future it might become one. But we do this out of passion for the project and for our followers. That and we can't monetize our episodes due to us not legally owning them. Two, please audition with a clear microphone otherwise no matter how good your voice might be we won't be able to work with it. Three, when auditioning we are looking for as accurate to the English dub (if that character appears in it) as possible. In cases where the characters don't appear elsewhere besides this anime then please feel free to record a variety of voices. And finally, some of these characters require emotion and that requires shouting or many other things to be expressed when playing the character, if you're unable to express emotion through your voice we won't be able to take you on.

Discord is not required, but it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it).

*holding out his cards* Yugi here! Take this. I built this deck. I put my soul in these cards. And I taught you everything I know, Yugi. Take them, take my cards and teach him respect. Teach Kaiba respect for the heart of the cards, Yugi!

That’s…! The Red-Eyes Dark Dragon! In Magic and Wizards, it’s a legendary rare card almost equal to the Blue-Eyes Light Dragon!

The blue dragon brings victory. However, the red dragon does not, it only brings the potential. But only for one with the courage to fight. There must be a card somewhere that will make that potential a reality. But whether they come together or not, depends on whether one has the courage to fight.
