What is this?
This is a CastingCall for Sword Art Online Season 2 Fandub. The characters present in this CastingCall will be characters seen in the Phantom Bullet Arc, the Calibur Arc, and the Mother's Rosario Arc.
Summary
It has been a full year since the end of the Sword Art Online incident and ten months since the end of the ALfheim Online incident. Although things had returned to normal for some time, mysterious incidents occur in another VRMMO game, called Gun Gale Online (GGO). In two instances, a player in the game is shot by a mysterious person in a mantle who calls himself "Death Gun", and the shot player mysteriously disconnects after a few seconds, only for their real body to be found dead days later. After the second such incident, Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito) is asked by a member of the VR Crimes Division, Seijirou Kikuoka, to investigate the rumours that the incidents in-game are related to the deaths of the players in the real world.

DESCRIPTION
Shino Asada, known as Sinon in "Gun Gale Online" (GGO), "ALfheim Online" (ALO), as well as "Project Alicization", where she had temporarily used the Solus account, is the deuteragonist of the Phantom Bullet Arc and one of the main characters in the War of the Underworld sub-arc of the Alicization Arc.
PERSONALITY
Calm and cool are two words that best describe Sinon's personality. In battle and most of the time in the game, she keeps a cool head. It is actually said that Kirito is the first one to make her extremely angry. Despite all this, Sinon, while perhaps hard to approach, is generally a friendly person and does not mind helping others.

Yeah, but for a strategy, it was a fail. I mean, we started the op with six and lost four by the end of it. If that's the outcome of an ambush WE set up, it's not much of a win, you know?
Yeah. But in this world, I don't have those problems. And that got me thinking. If I can become the strongest player in the game, then I'll be strong IRL too. And maybe even forget what I did. But just now. I mean, when Death Gun had me pinned, I was terrified. And just like that, I wasn't Sinon anymore. I was the real me again. I'm scared to die. I am. Although…what's worse is living with this fear. It's so painful, I'd rather be dead. (she wraps her arms around herself) But I know…if I run away from Death Gun…in my past, I'll end up weaker than before. I will. I know it.
I suppose as vets, there's a predictability to how we play. We tend to use the same moves ‘cause they work. Which brings me to why YOU'RE here. (points at Kazuto with a gun sign) I was thinking that a player with a more CHAOTIC fighting style might have a better chance at outmaneuvering Subtilizer. Anyway, the point is…the next BoB's gonna be happening at the end of the year. And I'd like YOU to sign up for it.
DESCRIPTION
Si-eun An, known as Siune in "ALfheim Online" (ALO), is a supporting character in Mother's Rosario. She was the second sub-leader of the "Sleeping Knights", a guild of terminally ill patients who met in Serene Garden and played various virtual reality games as a form of palliative care. Si-eun had played a variety of virtual reality games, including Insect Site, until the guild eventually arrived to ALfheim Online, where Si-eun chose to be an Undine.
PERSONALITY
Si-eun An is kind at heart, but also somewhat sensitive and emotional. Si-eun is not as emotionally resilient as Yuuki, as she was ready to give up many times, but, after meeting her and learning that she had been going through the same pain all her life, Si-eun forced herself to continue.

That's the catch. If we want the names of everyone in the Sleeping Knights up on that wall. WE have to beat the Boss together. Just us. No one else. So we talked it over and came up with a plan. A party can have up to seven players, max. Therefore, we decided to find someone as strong or even stronger than our most powerful player, Yuuki. (Yuuki looks embarrassed) And hope whoever we found accepted our invitation. (Yuuki nervously scratches her head)
DESCRIPTION
Nori is a supporting character in Mother's Rosario. She is a medium-range, damage-dealer member of the Sleeping Knights, a guild of terminally ill patients who met in Serene Garden and played various virtual reality games as a form of palliative care. Nori had played a variety of virtual reality games, until the guild eventually arrived to ALfheim Online, where Nori chose to be a Spriggan.
PERSONALITY
Nori, like all Spriggans, has darker skin, gray wings and black hair. However, she has thick eyebrows and lips, as well as a large physique which are not common traits among Spriggans. In battle, Nori is equipped with comfortable, non-metallic armour with a black choker and a long steel quarterstaff that almost touches the ceiling of an inn.

Natsuki Aki is a nurse who works for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and was assigned by Seijirou Kikuoka to oversee Kazuto Kirigaya's medical condition at "Chiyoda Hospital" when he was hospitalized as well as during his rehabilitation. She is later assigned to watch over Kazuto during the "Death Gun" incident and after Kazuto is injected with succinylcholine.
PERSONALITY
Natsuki Aki graduated from the "Tokyo Self-Defense Senior Nurse Academy". Since the Nursing Academy is affiliated with the Self-Defense Force, those who enroll in the Academy are treated as recruits entering the army. This is why Natsuki not only became a nurse but also received the rank of Sergeant First Class in the JGSDF, and should have been working in the Self-Defense Force's hospital.

(resting his head on her shoulder) I'm sorry, Kirigaya. I guess I'm not the “awesome counselor” I thought I was. I wish I could take away the burden you're carrying, or at least help share the load of it. What do I know? I've never even played “Sword Art Online”. When you say you “killed someone”, I don't even know what that means. But…there's one thing I know. When all's said and done, the reason you did what you did…was to save someone else, wasn't it?
Of course he will. His Fluctlight's stable so far, and his neural network's on the mend. All his vitals are looking good, too. He is a tough cookie. He's the one who cleared SAO, after all. (Asuna puts her hand on the glass, the ring that Kazuto gave to her is visible. Koujirou looks to say something, then looks down)
DESCRIPTION
Kyouko Yuuki is one of the main characters of the Mother's Rosario side story. Kyouko is the wife of Shouzou Yuuki and the mother of Asuna Yuuki and Kouichirou Yuuki
PERSONALITY
Kyouko Yuuki was a cold person who had resented being born in a family of farmers and desired a better future for her daughter. To achieve this, Kyouko was willing to regulate various aspects of her daughter's life, from her education institution to her future spouse. This was reflected in her strict parenting style as well, such as demanding her daughter to come to the table at a specific time, forcefully expelling her out of FullDive when she was late and threatening to confiscate her AmuSphere.

It hardly qualifies as “meeting” if you're using that toy! Besides, doing your homework is not a TEAM activity. If you're with your friends, you'll just fool around. (takes a sip of her drink) Asuna, you don't have time to play around anymore. You're TWO years behind everyone else. You should be studying as hard as you can to make up for all that lost time.
Enough, young lady! I don't want to hear about him in this house again! And you're wrong. It wasn’t MY choice. It was your father's. HE suggested that crook marry into this family! He's never been a good judge of character. But don't worry. Yuya might lack initiative, but he seems stable. And stability is the cornerstone of marriage.
DESCRIPTION
Kurahashi is a supporting character in the Mother's Rosario side story and Ordinal Scale. He is in charge of the long-term care department at the Yokohama Kōhoku General Hospital and was Yuuki Konno's doctor since she was little. He had been helping her overcome her human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and was the one who persuaded her to use the Medicuboid.
PERSONALITY
Doctor Kurahashi has a small build and is slightly plump. He wears glasses and the hair on his shiny forehead is parted on one side with a ratio of seven to three. Asuna described Kurahashi as being in his early thirties.

Uh-huh. (picks up his cup) She also said she didn't tell you where she was. So I said, “don't worry about it, she's not going to find you here”. When reception told me you were in the lobby, I was shocked.
Yuuki was born in May of 2011. But there were complications…and the doctors had to give her mother a C-section. Her mother was given a transfusion during the procedure. But unfortunately the blood they used was contaminated with a virus. (Asuna gasps) They didn't find out about it until September…when her mother was having tests run for an infection she got. But by that time…the whole family had been infected. (the two of them stop outside of a room. Asuna looks at the door in disbelief and shock. Kurahashi scans his badge, opening the door) This way. (the two enter the room, and the door closes behind them) We have to keep the room on the other side of the glass hermetically sealed, so this is as close as you can get. I hope you understand.
DESCRIPTION
Jin is one of the members of Dyne's squadron in Gun Gale Online.
PERSONALITY
Jin took part in an attempt to ambush a mob-hunting squadron in a wasteland field. As their targets were taking longer than expected to reach the ambush point, Jin spent the free time he had by checking on his status window. After some time, their target was spotted and, after Dyne told Sinon which player to target first, Jin and the others proceeded to get closer to the squadron to be ready to engage them.

Urðr (transliterated as Urd or Urdr) is one of the rulers of the Beast-type Evil Gods in ALfheim Online and the NPC that gives "The Holy Sword of the Ice Palace" quest, the real quest for acquiring the "Holy Sword Excalibur".
PERSONALITY
Urðr was created by the Cardinal System’s Automated Quest Generation function, which based the character on a myth from Norse mythology. Unlike most quest NPCs, Urðr's core programming is connected to the language engine module, therefore, instead of having a fixed response routine, she has a certain level of Artificial Intelligence and is thus capable of much more flexibility in her dialogue routines as well as sounding far more realistic than a regular NPC.

(closing her eyes) In the past, Jotunheim was similar to your Alfheim. Covered in lush greenery and beautiful lakes, it basked in the blessings of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. We, the Hill Giants, lived in peace and harmony with our kinfolk, the creatures. Far below the splendor of Jotunheim is a realm of ice and snow known as Niflheim.
You removed Excalibur from its plinth! The quest has been completed! Now that the sword, which slices wood and iron is secure, Jotunheim can return to its former glory. It is all thanks to you and your bravery. My younger sisters would also like to express their gratitude towards you.

Verðandi (transliterated as Verdandi or Verthandi) is one of the NPCs that are part of "The Holy Sword of the Ice Palace" quest.

When disguised as Freyja, Thor first appeared as if he was a helpless woman, however, after being freed, it was revealed that he was actually a strong, determined person, as seen by how he refused to retreat in order to retrieve his lost treasure, as well as how he responded to Thrym's question about their marriage. After revealing his true form, Thor was revealed to be a vengeful character, as shown by how he felt about Thrym's theft of his hammer.

(he uses Mjolnir to teleport away)
DESCRIPTION
Thrym is the boss located on the 4th (last) floor of the inverted ice pyramid dungeon known as Thrymheim in ALfheim Online as well as the boss required to be killed for The Holy Sword of the Ice Palace quest. Unlike the bosses of New Aincrad, Thrym's three large Hit Point (HP) bars are visible to players. He is the main antagonist of the Calibur side story.
PERSONALITY
Thrym was one of the Non-Player Characters (NPCs) created by the Cardinal System's «Automatic Quest Generation Function», thus the character was based on the Nordic legend of Thrym while the created character possessed a much higher degree of intelligence than usual NPCs as the NPC's core programming is connected to the language engine module, thus, instead of having a scripted response routine, Thrym is able to change his speech according to the situation to some extent. Because of this, he is much more realistic than usual NPCs.

(chuckles) Winged ALfheim insects. Have you burrowed down here on the whims of Urðr? The trollope? Wretches! How dare you enter here! Did you think you could STEAL my treasure? If you tell me where I can find that woman, I shall give it ALL to you gladly.
(scratching his chin) Yes. That's the spirit, my lovely. I would expect nothing less from the woman whose beauty and valor are known throughout the land. And as they say, the more noble the flower, the more satisfying it is to pluck. After I've SNUFFED the life from these insects, I shall shower you with EXTRA affection. (laughs as the group glares at him)
DESCRIPTION
Endou is a girl who attends the same school as Shino Asada and abuses her for her personal gain.
PERSONALITY
Endou is a manipulative person who approached Shino and pretended to be her friend just to be able to use Shino's home for personal use and as a place to stay overnight after getting drunk.

I need a favor. We sort of went overtime at karaoke, and now we don't have enough cash for the train home. We're gonna need about ten. (Endou puts a finger up) We'll pay you back, though.
(chuckles) Poor Asada! You know my big brother? Well, he's got a buttload of these model guns. (Endou slowly walks towards Asada) Wouldn’t it be cool if I brought some to class? I know you like guns. Especially PISTOLS.
DESCRIPTION
Sachie Oosawa is a minor character in the Phantom Bullet Arc. She used to work at the Third Block (Sanchou-me) Post Office in Shino Asada's hometown, where Shino saved her from a drugged robber. After the post office incident, Sachie gave birth to Mizue Oosawa, a girl she had been pregnant with during the robbery.
PERSONALITY
One Saturday afternoon in late 2020, Sachi was working behind the counter when a man entered the building and brandished a pistol, ordering the staff to fill his bag with all the money they had. Shocked by the man shooting one of her colleagues for pressing the alarm button, she stood frozen with terror when the robber pointed his gun at her, unable to take action as Shino intervened and killed the man in self-defense during their struggle. When her husband received a transfer after Mizue was born, Sachie moved to Tokyo, desiring to forget about the post office incident.

Sachie Oosawa. You're Shino…Asada…aren't you? I'd like to introduce you to my daughter. Her name's Mizue. She's four years old.
I'm sorry. This is really hard. See, I…I should have done this AGES ago. I'm so sorry it took this long. I never apologized, or thanked you for what you did. (so wipes the tears from her eyes. She pats Mizue on the head) I was pregnant with her the day that man came in and tried to rob us. What you did. It wasn't just MY life you saved. You saved the life of my little girl, too. Thank you so much. (she bows) If it weren't for you, she wouldn't be here. (Mizue bows)
DESCRIPTION
Akiyo Sada is a housekeeper working for the Yuuki family. She has two children: one in junior high and the other in primary school.
PERSONALITY
Akiyo is a petite woman in her early forties. She has medium-long brown hair that is tied at her back, while two large forelocks part to the sides of her face. She also has brown eyes and a mole below her lip on the left side of her face.

Kouichirou phoned to say he won't be in ‘til late tonight. And your mother is waiting in the dining room.

Yuuki Konno, known as Yuuki in "Serene Garden", "Asuka Empire", "Insect Site", and "ALfheim Online" (ALO), was the deuteragonist of the Mother's Rosario side story, and the protagonist of the Sisters' Prayer side story in the Sword Art Online series.
PERSONALITY
Yuuki was the kind of person willing to live life to the fullest even in her critical condition, when she died peacefully in happiness. She believed some things must be done in forceful means for the other party to understand.

Aand…I'm Yuuki! The leader of this Guild. The kinda sorta. Miss Asuna, don't laugh. But see, we want to be the ONLY Guild to beat the Boss on this floor! And we want YOU to help us!
Asuna, sometimes you gotta FIGHT to get your point across. You know…(turns) Like how dead serious you are about something. Just sayin’!
DESCRIPTION
Kyouji Shinkawa, known as Spiegel in "Gun Gale Online" (GGO), is one of the antagonists during the Phantom Bullet Arc, alongside his brother Shouichi Shinkawa. Kyouji is Shino Asada's (Sinon's) friend and the one who introduced her to GGO in a bid to help her overcome her fear of guns. His avatar is an Agility (AGI)-build character.
PERSONALITY
The second son of a hospital director, Kyouji was bullied at school and was also being pressured by his parents to succeed them, therefore he gave up on reality and turned to the virtual world. He believed that being strong in virtual reality would cover his weakness in the real world. He later developed a hatred towards XeXeeD, as well as other Strength (STR)-oriented players, for suggesting players to focus on raising their AGI parameter, which later turned out to be a bad choice as a STR focused build turned out to be better in the long run due to such players being able to wield heavier guns, thus destroying Spiegel's development.

"Johnny Yong Bosch"
His days were numbered. I mean, no matter how powerful a minigun is. Carrying 500 rounds of ammo pushes you over the weight limit, so you can't run. And since BoB is a solo encounter battle, he was easy pickings for a sniper like you! Still, with that gun, he's pretty much invincible. As long as he's with a good squad. Miniguns should be banned!
But Sinon doesn't! She's got that amazing rifle and knows how to use it! If you ask me, THAT’S who you really are. And I know, one day, you'll be like that in real life, too. That's why, when you go ballistic over that guy, I start to worry.
[SHINO: This is crazy. YOU’RE the other Death Gun?] Ooh, I'm impressed! You figured out Death Gun's little secret! It's true. I'M Death Gun's partner in crime. (Shino looks at him with a terrified look in her eyes) Up to now, before this year's BoB, anyway. I was the one playing Sterben. But today, I insisted on being the one to do the job IRL. Don't you see, I HAD to be the one doing the deed. I can't let some other guy touch you. Even if that guy's my brother.
DESCRIPTION
Mizue Oosawa is a minor character in the Phantom Bullet Arc and the daughter of Sachie Oosawa.
PERSONALITY
Mizue has brown eyes and dark hair tied in two braided pigtails. She wears a kindergarten uniform consisting of a white blouse, a dark blue skirt, and a red bow pinned at the collar. She also carries a yellow pochette slung over her shoulder.

I made it for you! Thank you for saving Mommy! And for saving me! We love you! (giggles)
DESCRIPTION
Tamotsu Shigemura, known as XeXeeD in Gun Gale Online (GGO), was the first victim of Death Gun.
PERSONALITY
XeXeeD was a deceitful and cunning person, as he spread false rumours about AGI-build avatars being the best, even though he knew himself that STR-build avatars would have an advantage in the long term, thus misleading players and weakening his competition. He was also an overconfident person, as he believed that he could repeat his success in the future with the same strategy.
VOICE
"Grant George"
These players who think it's all about their agility. (scoffs) Man, they're living in a dream! I mean, sure! Firing speed and evasion ARE important! And time was, if you rock those two things, it's all you needed to be the best. ‘Til now, that is. Yeah, hate to say it, but it don't work like that anymore. In fact, I got a message for the folks who spent the last eight months indoors boosting their AGI. Sucks to be you right now! Tone it!
Yeah, well. If anything, my results point to some big changes happening in GGO. You're all about AGI, Yamikaze. Go figure YOU’D be in denial. (XeXeeD stands up and raises his arms in the air) Wake up, people! ‘Til now, the best strategy was boosting your AGI and shooting a powerful gun as fast as you could! But the reality is, the balance of gameplay in an MMO is always changing! Especially in games like this one, with levels that don't let you respect your stats.
DESCRIPTION
Ginrou is a minor character in the Phantom Bullet Arc. He is a Gun Gale Online focusing on an AGI build and is a member of Dyne's PvP (anti-personnel) squad that targets weaker, low-risk opponents. Ginrou's evasion skills in face-to-face combat is known to be above average.
PERSONALITY
Ginrou is a cocky player, as he underestimates the power of his opponents and believes that he can easily keep them occupied at close range to stall for time. Ginrou is also a person who tries to hit on women, though has never succeeded in both the virtual world, nor the real world.

Dude, no one's complaining. And since we're talking about it, ain't these the same jokers we hit last week? They could have wised up to us and changed their route.
Well, IF! It's a big “if” but still, if she missed, I'd be cool with that! (Ginrou stands up with his gun in his right hand) It'll take them about a minute to figure out where the shot came from. While they're doing that, I'LL be in position! (Ginrou aims his weapon as if he’s about to shoot) I'll hose ‘em down and rake in the moneh! (Ginrou lowers his weapon)

Arashi is one of the members of Dyne's squadron in Gun Gale Online.
PERSONALITY
Arashi took part in an attempt to ambush a Mob-hunting squadron in a wasteland field. Arashi was in charge of scouting for the enemy while the others chatted. After some time, Arashi alerted the others that the squadron was coming. Tecchi had played a variety of virtual reality games, until the guild eventually arrived to ALfheim Online, where Tecchi chose to be a Gnome.
PERSONALITY
Like all of the Sleeping Knights members, Tecchi suffered from an illness and thus he ended up in terminal care. Some time between the years 2023 and 2024, Tecchi met the other members of the Sleeping Knights in a medical network, a virtual hospice named "Serene Garden", and immediately got along with the other members of the future guild.

PERSONALITY
Dyne is a cautious player who only leads his squadron to fight against weaker opponents and would order his squadron to retreat if there was even a minuscule sign of danger.[1] However, he is also an overconfident person, thinking that a monster hunting group they had attacked six days ago would not prepare special countermeasures to prevent being wiped out again, that they would become careless again after a few days, and that they are only used to handling the predictable algorithms of monsters.

Seijirou Kikuoka has been a master manipulator since he met Kirito and Asuna. He never reveals the full truth willingly, only divulging bits and pieces. While some confidentiality is expected from a member of the JSDF, he has no problems manipulating civilians -- not to mention minors -- in order to achieve his goals.

He faced off against the other player, the STR-VIT player XeXeeD, however, he ultimately lost the battle due to XeXeeD's rare weapon and defense equipment, and thus became the 2nd place tournament participant.

Though afflicted with cancer, Jun is an easy going person who always wears a smile on his face and always has a joke to tell. Due to his young age, he is easily excited when experiencing new things and is sometimes nervous when faced with fearsome opponents. However, he is a capable fighter who boasts strong offensive and defensive abilities due to him being a Salamander, making him an invaluable addition to his guild.

Shouichi Shinkawa, known as XaXa in "Sword Art Online and as Sterban in "Gun Gale Online", is the main antagonist of the Phantom Bullet Arc and a minor antagonist in the Aincrad Arc. He is one of the 10,000 players who were trapped in Sword Art Online, where he was a member of the infamous red guild "Laughing Coffin", nicknamed as Red-Eyed XaXa, because of the red eyes of his skull mask. After being released from the game, Shouichi began playing Gun Gale Online due to the recommendation of his brother, Kyouji Shinkawa. In October 2025, the two brothers created and began executing the "Death Gun" plot, which involved giving the impression that they could kill people in real life from within a game.
PERSONALITY
Shouichi is a cold and sadistic person who believed in PoH's principles. He enjoys killing other players, even with full knowledge that they would be killed in real life as well, due to relishing the feeling of being feared by others. Shouichi's sense of reality began wearing thin since he joined Laughing Coffin, feeling that only things beneficial to him were real.
