PaRappa Anime Fandub - Partial Recast
Project Overview
(We do recommend that you watch the subbed version prior to auditioning)
Hello, I am NeonToaster. I am currently working on a project to do a fandub of the PaRappa the Rapper Anime. We are doing the episodes that do have subs and I casted for most of the main characters last April.
Sadly however, due to many setbacks and communication problems, I lost contact with a few of the Voice Actors that worked on this project. This is where the casting call comes in. This is a recast call for a select number of roles.
I hope to have the first episode out soon, and I need a few more voices for a complete cast.

We would like a voice that is inspired by/matches her japanese counterpart.
The P on my jacket is for Paula. That's a name that you better remember!

Dorothy is an old lady who really likes company. Katy meets her and is initially irritated and annoyed by her presence, but after seeing her dance at an abandoned theater, she wants to help Dorothy fufill her dream of dancing once again, like she used to.
Again, a normal old lady voice would be fine for her. Please try to distinct it from Miss Gonzales.

Gaster is the main antagonist of the series. He is a rabbit who is determined to "give PaRappa Town what it's got coming to them!" His plans are so obscure and weird, that they sometimes literally topples over him.
This character does curse. If you are not confortable doing this, than we ask for you not to try out for this role.
We would like a voice similar/inspired by his Japanese counterpart. (Extra Brownie Points for anyone who can replicate his Japanese laughter ~gasu~)

Mr. Shyman

Mr. Shyman (commonly referred to as Sensei in the Japanese Version) is PaRappa's school teacher and he is extremely shy. He acts very differently when a bucket is slammed on his foot.
We would like a voice that is very soft and squeaky for when he is shy, and tough and angry when the bucket is slammed on his foot.
This character curses once. If you are not confortable doing this, than we ask for you not to try out for this role.
This character is not featured until Episode 3, so we ask that the VA be patient in recieving lines.

An average old woman voice is fine for us.
