Hello all! Cutie Honey is a series I've been a fan of since I first became a fan of the series Devilman. Despite aspects I really don't like about it, Cutie Honey has been a series I've found to be very endearing and funny. And ever since I started the Devilman manga abridged. I've always wanted to cover Cutie Honey too.
For those who don't know the plot. Cutie Honey is about an android, built as the daughter to "Dr. Kisaragi." Who implanted her with a device that can create matter, out of thin air. She is a resident of the all female school "Saint Chapel Academy." To which, all the students are in love with her. However, a terrorist organization called "Panther Claw." Led by Sister Jill and Panther Zora. Want the device so they can make riches, weapons, power, what have you. They kill Honey's father, and now with the help of Seiji Hayami and his family. She swears revenge on those responsible, and vows to destroy their criminal empire. She is the warrior of Love. Cutie Honey!

Humor
Cutie Honey is already mostly a comedy. But it is also 50 years old. So along with its goofier tone. We're going for a more nonsensical, surreal, and meta kind of humor. Improvisation is highly encouraged (just so long as we have takes of the scripted lines.) I am more then open to suggestions. Though do know, I like to keep things timeless if I can. So I'm not willing to namedrop [current series or meme] here. At least not directly.
Nature of Roles
IT IS HIGHLY RECCOMENDED TO AUDITION FOR MULTIPLE CHARACTERS! I do want it to be known of course, not all these characters hold significant roles. Panther Claw, and the Saint Chapel residents specifically. Many of them, either only appear briefly for one episode. Or have small moments in a few other episodes. Even the characters considered "supporting cast" have very few scenes. Not to mention, some characters listed here even only have one line. If you're fine with that, all power to you. But if you don't want to just be featured in just one, please try out for as many as you wish!
The source material will not be looked to
This is not a warning for the abridged series, but in regards to the source material itself. Cutie Honey, at it's core, is a very NSFW series. This is due to nudity, and unfortunately, very triggering topics. That come up a lot through out. These are the aforementioned "aspects" I don't like about the work. And my efforts are to censor and remove them.
For this reason, I'm not including links to the manga for visual reference. I'm also not advising anyone to go and watch the series. Unless they so want to, or are comfortable enough to. It is not a requirement for this series, and I wouldn't make it one.
Even though these will not be present within this series. I would still prefer minors not audition!! This series still includes some adult topics, in the form of jokes. As held back as they are. I just would not be comfortable with anyone who isn't an adult, saying them.

I see a lot of people have tried for Seiji, and they all sound wonderful! But there's still a lot of the Panther Claw agents and Saint Chapel residents who are still low on, or don't have any auditions yet. If you're interested or know someone who might be interested I do highly recommend auditioning!
I'm choosing to increase the time on the due date. As we're still in need of auditions for much of the supporting cast and the additional villian's.
Characters like Alphonne, Naoko, and the other Panther claw agents. Characters like Fire Claw and so on.

Honey Kisaragi, is an android, created with the persona of being the daughter to "Dr.Kisaragi."
She holds within her, the "Airborne. Element. Solidifier." A device that creates anything, and everything, out of thin air. Given it has enough materials to work with beforehand. This is usually done through food. With this device, and the phrase "Honey Flash." She transforms into the warrior of love. Cutie Honey.
Despite being a machine, Honey was programmed to be just as human as anybody else. She thinks, feels, loves and acts like a human. She was no features that show that she is a robot.
Personality: Honey was quite literally born yesterday. Honey isn't stupid though, she just doesn't know better. She has not been told about the world around her mostly. So she's kinda just stumbling through it all, in a yellow brick rode of her own making. She's aware of some things, but not all things. So she's kinda in this balance of a classic vintage superhero, but is self aware enough to be caught off guard.
Voice: Honey's voice is very youthful and optimistic, I don't wanna go for bubbly. But more, a kid who has been in their teens for a while now, but is still not getting over their childishness yet. She also speaks with an innocence. Life hasn't bogged her down, so she still has an optimism to her.

"Honeeeeeey! FLASH!"
"Uh, hi! I’m Honey Kisiragi...I uh...I wasn’t blonde this morning. I actually didn’t know I was till you just said that. "
"Sometimes a girl on her bike. Sometimes a doctor in a hospital. Sometimes a voice actor looking for their new role! But all in all, my true identity will always be! CUTIE HONEY! THE WARRIOR OF LOVE!"
Seiji Hayami is a news journalist, looking to write about something. What that is mind you, is worth an investigation in its own. As it seems to change often. He meets Honey because he was interviewing Honeys father, to find out what it's like to die. Unfortunately it was cut short, because he's dead. Since then, he's become a target of Panther Claw. Seiji longs for the days before he was introduced to Honey. But he's not totally upset, as he seems to enjoy her company. Even if he ends up injured because of it....Which isn't good, cause he's banned from hospitals for a morphine addiction. Or is captured by them.
Personality: Seiji is like one of those smooth talkers. Or the guys who think they're smooth talkers. He has as much charisma as the last of the shit at the bottom of a glass jar. But he's not annoying to be around. He just wants to be the center of attention...depending on if it's the right company.
Voice: Seiji's voice is a medium to high. Most adaptations play him low, but I don't personally enjoy that. In a good mood, Seiji talks like a classy door to door salesman. Always acting like he's trying to sell you something. When he's scared, he's an overexaggerated coward. Dude's screaming and wailing. All stuff like that.
"Hey there good lookin what’s cookin? I’m Seiji Hayami. Journalist by day. Hustler by night. What say you and I grieve together? My place or your place? Oh whoops. Guess it’s your place then huh?"
"Oh no I’m fine! The doctor absorbed most of the damage. No hospital trips for me! Legally I shouldn’t even be in there anymore! Hahahahahaha…I have a serious morphine addiction. "
"Oh God, you’ve come to silence me! THEY ALREADY WRAPPED MY HANDS IN GAUS! WHAT MORE DO THEY WANT!?"
Sister Jill is the primary antagonist of the series. She is the sister of Panther Zora, the leader of "Panther Claw." Though not being in charge, she is basically the one running the whole terrorist organization. She's very dangerous and annoyed with the world. Though as the series goes on, this annoyance turns into anger. Jill also has no social life, she's devoted herself to this organization, and refuses to think about herself in any other way. Which is why she keeps denying that she might have an affinity for women.
Personality: Jill is calm and collected. She is a killing machine, and not someone to be trifled with. She is the opposite of Honey. Where she's innocent, Jill is stone cold. Though she gets flustered and defensive when she meets Honey. Cause Honey can tell right away, that Jill has some suppressed emotions. She's confused by Honey, because Jill has never had to think about herself before. She's always been devoted to the organization. So, these questions confound her and further anger her. For the moment of course.
Voice: Jill has a mature and commanding voice. But also with an annoyed exasperated tone. She's never rested, and is always working. The only joy she gets is from toying with her prey, like a cat. The pitch I'm really looking for is something like Marry Elizabeth McGlynn
"Panther Zora. My sister. The Airborne. Element. Solidifier has escaped. But do not worry. Because I know now who it is. And I’m going to take it from her. Even if I have to kill her to do it…..!!"
"Zora I don’t like this one. Send her back to hell immediately, or wherever the fuck we come from."
"I'M NOT GAY"
The Panthers, are Panther Claws disposable goons. They're all clones of each other. But each are their own individual. They even often ponder the philosophies of life, if there is truly more to being a Panther, then just their short lives. They think, feel, do. And they all have a crippling fear of death. They're a lot like the clones from Star Wars, if it was played for comedy. They could even take over Panther Claw, if they were clever enough to use their own numbers....But they're dumb.
There's a small homage to Venture Bros with them in episode 3, so be prepared to impersonate Henchmen 21& 24.
Personality: This role, most of all. Requires the ability to improv. Just like a snow flake, no two Panthers are the same. They are all individuals, with their own thoughts and feelings. The only trait they have in common, is a fear for their lives, and a nihilism about their world.
"Uh actually we’re quite tangible. And we feel pain."
"Hey don't start thinking like an individual Panther 21. That'll only get you killed. Look at me, Panther 24. I do what I'm told, and I've lived to be 6 years old now. Impressive I know. Hell I've even heard of a Panther that made it to 20. But those are just legends you know?"
*Improv about them fighting over the last sandwich in the fridge*
Natsuko Aki, is Honeys classmate, roommate, and is incredibly thirsty. Most of Honeys schoolmates at Saint Chapple Academy, are in love with her. Natsuko's just lucky enough to share her dorm. Natsuko is always trying to subtly convey her attraction to Honey. Who keeps not realizing this. But she still tries her best. She's a freak to say the least.
Personality: Girls just down bad. Not much I can say there. She's always trying to send signals, and seemingly has the patience of a saint.
Voice: I'm leaving this up to interpretation. I don't really have anything specific in mind I am looking for with her. Just don't make it obvious how she is, she doesn't have a "sexy" tone to her.
"And this dorm is where we’ll be staying! The two of us. Together. Always and forever. You and me. Always…..!"
"As you already know, Saint chapel academy is located in the woods, high above a mountain top. And as far away from civilization as you can get."
Improv about Honey
Danbei Hayami, is the father of Seiji. He's a little old man, and is a ninja. Because of his age, he's rather rusty. He's very proud of his family lineage, and boasts about it frequently.
Personality: Danbei is very proud
Voice: Danbei's voice is a bit hard to describe, outside of just saying it's raspy. He sounds like an old man with all his vigor type. Roshi essentially, but without the old man sound. It's hard to say, so here's just a clip of him in English. Something around here or higher. Sorry for the confusion.
"Those damn terrorists. Think they can assassinate my son! But he’s a Hayami! We survive everything!"
"RAAAAAAAAAAAH"
Junpei is Seiji's younger brother and is just....there. He doesn't add anything to the story. And we've done everything in our power to make sure he doesn't get to. The audience must always be reminded just how much he doesn't need to be in this story.
Personality: He acts happy, but is bitter
Voice: Typical anime kid voice.
"And I-"
"....Why the hell was I even born?"
Mrs. Alphonne, is Honey and Natsuko's home room teacher. She wants to adopt Honey the moment she finds out about her fathers death. She cares about her. In a very strange way. Though of course all about her is strange.
Personality: Alphone is sporadic. She doesn't act the same way for long. She's calm one moment, and will just yell another moment.
Voice: Something like those old english ladies who go to opera shows. She's very theatrical in her deliveries.
"Alright gi~~~~~~irls! I want you all on your best behavior today, OKAY!?.....We have a new student joining us! She’s tall, blonde. She’s not american. DON’T SAY SHE’S AMERICAN!!.....Cashmere~. "
"THAT’S ENOUGH!.....Continue."
"Congratulations! You’re a full time resident for the remaining two years! And, principal wife and I will adopt you. As a birthday gift, here’s your daily mail."
Pochi is the school principal of Saint Chapel. She's the wife of Mrs. Alphonne. And unfortunately doesn't get a lot of screen time.
Personality: She's very timid, especially in comparison to her wife
Voice: Kermit
"I like when you scream at squirrels."
Dr. Kisaragi is the creator of the "Airborne. Element. Solidifier." Given how dangerous this weapon is, he created Honey, so she can hold onto it, and keep it safe. He didn't just make her for this reason though. He still genuinely viewed Honey as his legitimate daughter. And wanted her to be able to live her life, as normally as she possibly could.
Personality: Dr. Kisaragi is very uptight, not in a negative way. He's very rigid, like a board, and bare bones. But he's very empathetic. He loves his daughter, and only wants her to be okay.
Voice: Dr. Kisaragi's voice is kinda like an old 50s scientist from a B movie. He's very old fashioned, and sounds like he has a stick up his ass. But he still carries a somber side to him.
"Honey, you weren’t well. So Daddy….Daddy fixed you. Now you’re all better!"
"Honey it’s me, daddy. Could you please come by the lab? I’m being attacked by those new fangled fur suitors I thi- Hey could you stop stabbing me for a second, I’m on the phone with my daught- No it’s not the police, it’s actually my daug- *Gets stabbed again.* Oh yes that’s reaaal mature."
"Of course you’re a real girl Honey! Just because you were built. Doesn’t mean you weren’t born. You still have love in your heart. You cry human tears. You bleed human blood. And since I created you. You are still my daughter. My little cutie, Honey."
Naoko is the queen of the Sukeban gang, at saint chapel. Like everyone else in school, she's attracted to Honey. Though unlike all the other students, she actually asks her out. And she's rather surprised she said yes! She's very insecure, despite her tough shell. She just wants to be loved. So Honey's a positive influence on her.
This character yells a lot, so....just a heads up.
Personality: Naoko is very tough, but underneath it all. She's just really lovey dovey. She gets embarrassed easily. And is just generally like any other girl her age.
Voice: Naoko has a deep voice most times, but this is just something she puts on to be intimidating. She really has a high kinda voice.
"HONEY KISARAGI! YOU HAVE THE HONOR OF BECOMING CO QUEEN, OF THE SUKEBAN!"
"REQUIREMENTS ARE.....Going on a date with me….?"
"It’s okay. I got here right after I was done talking to you and I should not have said that, should I have?"
Miss.Tsuneni is the dean of the girls dorms. Only, she's a nut case. She carries a whip with her at all times, that she threatens to use. At the time Honey arrives to the school. Tsuneni is on her last week, as the faculty were made aware of her. And are promptly forcing her out.
Personality: Tsuneni claims to have an aura of authority. And chooses to act like it too. She's dumb.
Voice: She sounds very crotchety, she hates everyone.
"So you’re the new meat eh? I am Dean Miharu Tsuneni!"
"ARE YOU TWO ASLEEP!? Okay goodnight."
"Yes...Yes of course Tarzan lives here. Yes, silly me."
Panther Zora is the once great leader of "Panther Claw" back possibly during the prohibition era. But she's too old now. She still contributes to it, but she is no longer the raging force she once was. And doesn't have the same control of her powers, that she used to.
Personality: She's not all there. She's still has an idea of what's going on. But doesn't nearly have enough of the energy to pay attention.
Voice: She sounds like Pat Carrol I imagine
"I have a panther on my head."
"....Are you my daughter?"
"You girls have a gay old time!"
Black Claw is the first enemy Honey faces. And is also the person who kills her father. She is way too into her role of a cat themed criminal.
Personality: She thinks she really is a cat
Voice: She sounds like a witch a lil bit. Just a very scratchy voice.
"So you’re the police!"
"Heh! You look stupid! Right, guys?"
"Quite impressive! But I’m going to show you now why they call me Black Claw!"
Fire Claw is the 2nd assassin sent to kill Honey. Although she wasn't actually sent to kill her. She was sent to kill Seiji. It just so happened. Honey was there too. She's meticulous, much more professional then the other Claw members other then Jill. But like Jill, Honey is too much for her to handle.
Personality: Professional, also an arsonist.
Voice: Fire Claw has a bit of a stern, gruff voice. Sorta like Shannon Conley in the 2004 film's dub
"PANTHER’S PAINT THAT BLUE SIREN RED! Leave Cutie Honey to me!"
"YOU FOOL CUTIE HONEY! DID YOU HONESTLY THINK HE WAS OUR TRUE TARGET ALL ALONG?? NO! IT WAS ALL A LURE TO GET TO YOU!!!"

Knife Panther is one of the many assassins Zora accidentally summons to dispatch Honey.
She is a master of disguise, and hand to han- foot to hand combat. She lost her arms in a horrible accident, caused by her knife arms that she got after she lost the real ones. She's a lil miserable.
Personality: Knife Panther is very proud, so the state that she's in, depresses her. She's always trying to prove her self. Though, no one seems to have an issue with her.
Voice: Completely up to interpretation when it comes to tone. Just so long as she sounds barrel chested.
"….Please scratch my nose."
" I do not transform. I, have to meticulously apply all my make up by han- knife."
Butterfly Claw is one of the many assassins summoned to kill Cutie Honey. Her whole gimmick is butterflies. She's so into it, that she emphasizes each vowel or word, that a sentence happens to have in common with the word, "Butter fly."
Personality: She's annoying.
Voice: She sounds like Venus Terzo as Blackarachnia in my mind.
"BUTT will you FLY!!!?"
"YES! JUST US NORMAL PEOPLE UP HERE!"
Snake Panther is one of the many Panther Claw agents, sent to kill those in Saint Chapel Academy. And she's just enjoying herself.
Personality: Snake Panther is a sadist.
Voice: Snake Panther is French. If you want to add in French, to her lines. You absolutely can. But it's not a requirement.
"Bon après-midi mon Cutie Honey. Are you ready to die today?"
"HO HO HO! Is that all the great warrior of love has to offer?"
"AHHHHH MY BEAUTIFUL SKIN!!! IT'S BEING MELTED OFF! SOMEONE PLEASE!!"
Scissors Claw is one of the many assassins Zora accidentally summons to dispatch Honey.
Scissors Claw is stubborn for their own good. She doesn't like to tell jokes, cause she doesn't have a sense of humor. It annoys her.
Personality: Brick wall, but even harder then it should be.
Voice: Just down to business, she's just bothered by it all you know?
"Hey!......Don’t expect no funnies."
"I don’t like telling jokes. When I try, they don’t come out good. "
"I try to join in with those jokey characters. But I just ain’t one of them. "
Wrestler Panther is one of the many assassins Zora accidentally summons to dispatch Honey. She's a Wrestler as you can tell.
Personality: As she is a Wrestler. She has the gravitas of one too.
Voice: Wrestler Panther sounds like Paul Bearer
"Ohohohoh yes. I see the evil in your eyes!"
"But you know."
"That my Undertaker. WILL DESTROY HIM! At summer slam! RAAAAHHH!!"
Iron Shadow is very proud and considers herself different from the other Panther Claw agents. She refuses to hold the Panther or Claw in her name. And thinks the process is belittling. She not only sees herself superior, but also her power.....She does a circus.
Personality: Cocky and full of spunk
Voice: A very husky voice, sort of like Janyse Jaud from Ed Edd N' Eddy.
"I AM THE GREAT IRON SHADOW! AND YOU ARE ALL MORON’S!"
"So, Knife Panther thinks she's the master of disguise. Well lets see her top this!"
"You think you're a strong opponent. Well let's see you face my jazz elephant!"
Dragon Panther is the tank. She's Panther Claw's most powerful physical agent. She's a dragon centaur. However, she's arrogant. She's disobedient. And won't bother to respect the authority of her leader, Sister Jill.
Personality: Arrogant and dismissive.
Voice: Macho
"Ooooohhhhh.....well, you know what they say, when you have a rideable fire breathing lizard, every problem starts to look like a barbecue."
Kogoro Iboji is the protagonist of a detective show that Honey and Danbei intrude upon. And I don't mean like he's an actor or anything. He's a legitimate character of a tv show, in another universe. They just entered someone else's series completely
Personality and Voice: Columbo.
"Ah, Tamamoto san. You mean to tell me, your prized Buddha statue, is in danger of thievery?"
Paul Tamamoto is the owner of a gold Buddha statue, that is being threatened with thievery. He has the unfortunate fate of looking inappropriate. So the broadcast of the show has censored him.
Personality: Stubborn person who does not trust the Columbo to do his job
Voice: I dunno...Old I guess?
"Yes, that's precisely what I told you. Now stop staring at my chin and get to work!"
There are a lot of background characters in Cutie Honey. Be they students, or civilians. There's just a whole bunch of em.
