Hi there everyone !! I’m Rachel, and I’m currently working on my Junior year film at the School of Visual Arts, Cupid Crush!! I heard about this website from a friend and am super excited to work with someone from here :D!

Summary:
Ares, a young employee of the Cupid Association, is on the brink of being fired. His boss tells him that today, Valentine’s Day, is his last chance to prove that he has what it takes to stay employed. His mission? Shoot two awkward teenagers with his love arrow so they can finally confess to one another. His problem? He has severe anger issues and awful luck. Will he ever be able to complete his task and keep his job?!
Here’s a link to my last year film for an idea of my style! I love cutesy and playful stories and Cupid Crush will definitely be one of them. I want everyone involved to have a lot of fun - as this is not a serious or mature film. I just want to spread a silly and fun feeling to those who watch it!!

The deadline for auditions is Saturday, Dec 9th at 2:00PM ET! IT WILL BE A PRETTY QUICK TURNAROUND!! If chosen, I will contact you on the 9th, and I would need recordings on the 11th, or 12th at the very very latest!! There really are not that many lines so it really should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete your part (the film is only 2.5 minutes!) I need audio for my class critique on the 12th, so apologies for the rushed nature of this call!! Please only apply if you feel you can work on that timeline.

Ares is the main character of Cupid Crush!! He is a 20-something cupid with severe anger issues. There will be a lot of screaming, huffing, and groaning!! There aren’t too many lines in this film! But for the entire film, Ares will really only be either angry, annoyed, or passive-aggressive. Make sure you can harness your inner angry side!!!
I don’t have a super specific voice in mind for him, so anyone interested, please take a shot at it! I’d love to see who would like to bring him to life :D
