Project Overview
We are a passionate and dedicated team working on the creation of audiobook adaptations in the style of the classic Goosebumps audio cassettes from the 90s, which include "Attack of the Mutant," "Deep Trouble," "The Haunted Mask II," "A Night in Terror Tower," "Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes," "A Shocker on Shock Street," and "Welcome to Dead House."

Story Blurb:
Jerry can't wait to explore the dark, spooky old cave he found down by the beach.
Then the other kids tell him a story. A story about a ghost who lives deep inside a cave.
A ghost who is three hundred years old.
A ghost who comes out when the moon is full.
A ghost who is haunting the beach.
Just another stupid ghost story. Right?

Skilled voice actors
Ability to bring characters to life with expressive and engaging narration
Previous experience in audiobook narration is a plus but not mandatory
A decent quality microphone is preferred to ensure clear audio.

Terri is the younger sister of the protagonist, Jerry Sadler. She is very curious and has many hobbies. When she hears rumors of a ghost said to haunt a nearby cave, Terri and her brother begin searching for the truth.

(Excited) "Wow. Some of these markers are really old. Check out this one. Here lies the body of Mr. John Sadler, who departed this life March 18, 1642, in the 38th year of his age. Look. Here’s one from 1647 and another from 1652. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten gravestone rubbings this old before!"
(Surprised) "Huh? Do I believe in ghosts? No way! Come on. You don’t really believe in ghosts, do you? Are you sure there’s a ghost? Have you really seen it?"
Serious) "I really don’t believe in ghosts. But those kids obviously do. So, I want to find out why. And I think we can get them to tell us more about the ghost if we ask them. Because I don’t think this is a story. I think something strange is going on here."
One of the three Sadler siblings, Louisa is the one to tell Jerry and Terri about the ghost.

(Mysterious) “Do you believe in ghosts? Well, if you go near that cave by the beach, you just might. The ghost is very old. No one has ever seen him come out. He’s been in the cave up there forever. Some people say for three hundred years. He’s really dangerous. I think he wants to kill us all. Even you”
(Fearful) “The cave... I've never really talked about it. See, my brothers and I, we've always been terrified of it. That ghost story, it's been with us our whole lives. The idea of the ghost in that cave, it's like a chill down your spine. Do you ever get that feeling, like something's been watching you?"
(Serious) “There’s a way to get rid of the ghost. But we need your help. If we cover the mouth of the cave with heavy rocks, the ghost couldn’t escape. The old legends say that the cave is a sanctuary. That means that if something evil gets trapped inside, it can’t escape through the rocks. The ghost will be trapped inside forever.”
The wife of Brad Sadler, a distant cousin of Jerry and Terri, Agatha is an elderly woman . She seems sweet and kind, but she’s reluctant to share what she knows about the cave and its rumored ghost.

(Gentle) "Well, you two hungry explorers, how 'bout joining us for dinner? I've got a fresh pot of stew on the stove, and a warm meal might just be what you need after all that adventure. What do you say? Let's gather 'round the table and fill our bellies with some nice food."
(Cautious) “Oh, kids, you didn’t go into that cave, did you? You really shouldn’t go into the cave. It isn’t safe. You must understand.”
(Sad) “In the winter of 1641, a large group of Sadlers, practically the whole family, sailed from England and settled here. They were Pilgrims who came to start a new life. It was one of the worst winters in history. And, sadly, tragically, the Sadlers were unprepared for the cold. They died, one by one, and were buried in the little cemetery. And by 1642, there were almost none left.”
While exploring the cave near the beach, Jerry and Terri run into Harrison Sadler, an old English man with stringy white hair and a beak-like nose. While they initially believe him to be the ghost, Harrison reveals himself to be a studier of the occult.
Age: 70s-80s
(Menacing/Raspy) “I came here from England quite a while ago. I study ghosts and the occult. This cave is a sanctuary. Once inside this cave, ghosts cannot escape through the rocks. I am safe here. The sanctuary keeps me safe. The ghosts cannot get to me by coming through the rocks.”
One of three Sadler siblings Jerry and Terri meet while on the beach. He loves to play practical jokes, while often being rather solemn when speaking.

(Serious) "There are lots of skeletons in these woods. All because of the ghost. He picks the bones clean and leaves them lying on the beach."
(Assertive) "Louisa! I really don’t think we should talk about the cave. Come on—let's go."
(Timid) "We didn’t want you to know about the ghost. We knew that if you found out about the ghost something bad would happen. Nobody’s safe here. You saw the skeleton in the woods, right? That’s what the ghost will do to you if he catches you."
We need an Assistant Audio Engineer to complete our Ghost Beach audiobook adaptation. Background soundscapes and dialogue are already added; we just need assistance with producing Foley SFX and editing them into the final product. There is no music in the audiobook yet.
Your tasks will include creating and recording custom Foley sound effects, editing and integrating these effects into the audiobook, and ensuring consistent and high-quality audio.
We seek someone with proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Audacity, Adobe Audition) and experience in recording and producing Foley sound effects. Access to a quality microphone and recording setup is necessary.
This is an unpaid opportunity, but you'll receive full credit in the audiobook, showcasing your skills to a growing community of listeners.
