Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Digimon Reventure is an uncut redub of the original Japanese version of the Digimon Adventure Anime with a brand new cast, using the original Japanese OST and aiming to stay as true to the original Japanese Broadcast as possible!
PRODUCTION
Each episode will be completely re-edited from the ground up, including the sound effects and Original OST from the Japanese version of the show.
AUDITIONING
Interested in trying out for a role? Great! Below you'll find the roles for the episode, each one will have an image, a brief description and some voice lines, naturally. For the actual project, we will use the Episodes for reference to help you figure out how to best do the lines. As far as the actual auditions go, I have a few general things I want to say:
- Provide at least two takes of every line, each take, try to do the line a bit differently.
- Don't feel obligated to imitate one of the japanese VA's that have played the character, but don't stray away from there voice type too much either.
- Clean, unedited audio! Don't add any filters/effects. If you can do it well and need to, you CAN use a bit of noise reduction, but I want to hear your voice unfiltered, also when it comes to the actual production, it'll sound more consistent if I'm processing unedited audio.
AUDITION RECCOMENDATIONS & GOALS
To elaborate on what we're looking for, we've added this section to help you if you are a little lost on what exactly we want out of your audition. When it comes to your voice, you should be able to somewhat match the Japanese performances in Digimon Adventure. If you need to know what those sound like, you can reference clips on YouTube or you can go back and watch the subbed version of the show. While getting close to the Japanese is important, what is more important is that your audition has good range. This is because Digimon Adventure has a lot of powerful and emotional scenes that require said range. Play around with your voice and add improv if you think it will show more of what you can do! Most of all, you should be passionate about this project, because it is ambitious in nature. All in all, have fun with it!

Taichi is energetic and adventurous. He also acts impulsively and rushes without thinking the consequences, especially when his friends are in danger but is quick to realize and admit he has been wrong, and does whatever it takes to fix his mistakes. Despite his flaws, Taichi is very caring and considerate of others, even if his actions may cause some people to think otherwise. It takes time for him to learn how to be a leader, but eventually he grows into the unifying force that leads all the other chosen children and keeps them together.

Sora is kind, responsable, caring and protective with her first instinct being to try and help others in any way she can, much like a mother. Sora will not turn someone down when they need help, even at the cost of her own well-being. She is a bit tomboyish, from the way she dresses to her hobbies. She starts out with low self esteem, believing herself to be unloved and criticizing herself for not being able to help her friends. Throughout her adventures in the Digital World, Sora realizes that she is loved and realizes how appreciated she is thanks to her friends.

Yamato starts as a secretive loner with a cool demeanor. He is mature, thoughtful and level-headed, and more likely to think things through than charge head-on. He is a deeply caring person who will do anything for a friend and is very protective of his loved ones. He is prone to second-guessing and self-deprecation when he cannot protect others—his self-worth hinges on his ability to be a good friend. Unlike Taichi, who is more willing to look at the "big picture", sometimes to the detriment of his friends, Yamato always tries to focus on the good of his small circle of friends.

We're looking for a female who can do a young boy voice for Koushiro.
Koushiro is a computer expert and spends a large fraction of his time trying to figure stuff out on his "PiBook" laptop. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable, and often gets lost in thought while trying to figure out something new. He is extremely curious about the nature of the Digital World, and works ceaselessly to learn whatever there is to know about it. He is resourceful and dutiful, and quick to help his friends. He is somewhat socially awkward. In the Japanese version, he is extremely polite.
Koushiro lives with his adopted parents. He found out of his adoption by accident, causing him to distance himself from them, but eventually he accepted them as his true parents after they revealed the story of his adoption to him and told him about his birth parents.
No good... I´thought I'd get reception after the storm stopped...
But that's weird! How can there be an aurora in Japan?

We're preferably looking for someone who can also sing because the Ending is sung by her voice actress in Japanese.
Being raised in a sheltered life, Mimi comes off as prissy, spoiled and selfish. Underneath it all, she is actually a very sweet, purehearted and caring person, who is sensitive to the feelings of others and dislikes fighting. Mimi is also honest, sometimes brutally honest to the point where she unintentionally hurts others. She is very ditzy, and has a rather wild imagination. Through her adventures in the Digital World, she learns that sometimes fighting is necessary to protect the ones she loves, and becomes more confident and resilient.

At a glance, Jyou appears to be a a flighty boy and a nervous wreck, panicking over little things. This stems from Joe's strong sense of responsibility, in addition to being the oldest of the group. He acts as the voice of reason and tries, often without success, to steer the other chosen children away from danger and tries to find a safer way. His "safety first" attitude is often the source of teasing from others specially Gomamon, who teases him the most but all the chosen children respect and trust Jyou for being reliable. His reliability is shown whenever Jyou will not hesitate to put his life over the others (for example, he saves Takeru from drowning). Teasing aside, the chosen children respect and trust Jyou because they know he can be relied on to be selfless and brave when problems arise.
Let's hurry back to where the adults are. The longer we stay here...

Takeru is a very cheerful and amiable person. He doesn't like when others are fighting or sad, and will do anything in his power to make others happy. He is very protective of his loved ones, especially after Patamon's sacrifice, and takes his duty as a protector of the Digital World very seriously. He is rather optimistic, and always tries to keep a smile on his face.

Agumon is much like his partner in that he can be kind and compassionate, but he is more serious than Taichi. Though he can act rashly, Agumon is more cautious and less prone to getting into sticky situations, though he follows and protects his partner all the way. He can get philosophical at times as well, as he manages to help BlackWarGreymon question his purpose, and even maintains a strong bond with his dark twin. Agumon also shares Taichi's main trait of being incredibly courageous.

They eventually reach the point where they can communicate without words, comfortable in the silence.
