A unique machine named VL-15 is on the cusp of freedom and answers to its existence when the world ended in catastrophic war. Sixty-five years later, a group of tech salvagers known as the Exhumers find it out in the Wastes. But before they can bring it back to their home, a storm comes and separates them. At the same time, the storm surge reawakens VL-15. It once again goes on a journey to find the truth of its existence, all while memories haunt it. Will the truth come from the Machine City where it was made, or within its own mind?
