Donald is happy with a letter he has just got: the letter states that he has won the Villa Rosa mansion in the lottery. Donald later notices the letter was actually meant for Gladstone Gander.

Apparently, the owner of Villa Rosa died without leaving heirs and one hundred years later, the mansion became government property, and then was donated to the city hall which donated it as the big prize of the lottery. When he arrives at Villa Rosa, he finds a book labeled “Secret diary of Fantomius." 

Donald later goes back to Villa Rosa and finds a hidden disguise and a hypnotic lamp. Donald dons the disguise for the first time and becomes the Duck Avenger!
