Project Overview

I'm gradually casting, but the project is still on an indefinite hiatus, so anyone cast won't have anything to do for a long time.
The game is made with RPG Maker VX Ace, and uses mainly default resources that came with the program, combined with music from other games and a shitload of scripts from rpgmaker.net
It will have multiple endings.

This is NOT the final deadline for the project, as I am nowhere near done making the game. This is going to be one of those things where the actors are going to have to keep in touch while I send over scripts of what's done so far. (And a lot of the roles below are well in advance of the character's appearance in the game, so...)
Basically, just make sure you can keep in touch if you are cast. If I send you a script a month or two after you've been cast, make sure you can still record for it.
Anyway, I need the voices for the dialogue in the game, since having the audio voiced over was the idea a friend of mine had a long time ago.
Note: There will be a lot of screaming, crying, and cursing in this project. Also, I'm not looking for a voice with a specific accent or age to it unless otherwise specified.

A flirty young woman who loves to be the center of attention. She can be rather outgoing and obnoxious, as she's very immature, even in her adult years.
She serves as some form of comedic relief at a few moments in the game, since she has a tendency to crack jokes and likes to tease.
(childish) Well, uh, you see, I need, um... (blunt) Oh, f**k it. I need you to come pick me up.
(cold, offended) You are one sick son of a b***h, Dustin J. Patefield*. (casual) Now come pick me up.
(excited/proud) Ooh! Ooh! Dust, watch, I can play this well now!

A stubborn young girl with an affinity for pigs and a bit of a hot temper. She has a huge crush on Felix, but she would never admit that to anyone.
(admiringly) Mommy, look at his funny hair. It sorta looks like a pig's tail, huh?
(confused) Not well? But he looks okay to me... Is he sick?
(accusingly) How can you be so mean to him, mister? Go pick on someone your own size!

A lonely young man who, at a young age, made himself an imaginary friend named Eternal. Little did he realize that the creation of such a being would have adverse effects on the rest of his life...
He is very emotional most of the time, and is socially awkward as all hell.
(teasing/amused) Funny. I actually think you two would make an interesting couple.
[Eternal] You hungry? Make yourself food faster, (sarcastic) it /kills/ me to see you so skinny.
(amused) Ooooh~! (loud grunt of pain, because he's just had his hand slammed into the table) ... (whimper) Ow.

A light-hearted, humorous young man with a tendency to be a pathological liar. He's a real goofball with a big heart, and he wears said heart on his sleeve. He loves his friends like family; he's very kind to them, and he will defend them until his dying breath if he must.
He usually feels, however, that he is unworthy of them, and sometimes questions why they stick around him.
(silly/whining) Noooooo~! Jacqlyn, stay a bit!
(jokingly flirty) Oh, well, I doubt /that./
(angry/hurt) Take that back, NOW! It's NOT true!

The son of Ruler Eternal. He is thought of to be liable to hereditary insanity by others, and he is terrified of becoming like his father, even though he is much too young to understand at the age of 2 and a half.
He speaks mostly in babbles, since he's still getting used to talking.
(crying/squealing in pain) Daddyyy...! It's scary... No...
(insistent) No! You're talking about my daddy!
(nonsensical, informative babbles) (huff of frustration as he is ignored)

The daughter of Jacqlyn Brown and Dylan Cronin. She is very curious and loves to learn new things, by which she is often easily impressed.
Unlike her mother, she is optimistic and innocent, and is the very antonym of cynical. She loves her parents dearly, even though she's never actually met her father...
(curious/innocent) Mommy, where are we going? Are we going to find Daddy? (pause) Is Daddy far away from us, Mommy?
(optimistic) We're definitely gonna find Daddy! We just have to keep walking! ... Mommy, I'm tired. (cute) Can you carry me?
(scared, as she is being chased by someone who wants to hurt her) Mommy! MOMMY, HELP! MOMMY!

A woman who is very family oriented. She has a firm belief that the future will always be brighter than the present, which for lack of a better word is currently, in her time, in a pretty shitty state. She loves her husband and her son more than the world, and does her best to show it.
(loving) Honey, what would you think about having a brother?
(loving/motherly) I love you so much, Honey! (somewhat sad) I'm just going to miss and worry about you when you're gone... But don't think I don't support you in every way. I know you'll make your father and I very proud.
(dutiful) Calix, is it? I know it's my son's job to take care of you, but... Please take care of him as well.

A Victorian-era-esque young man with a seemingly infinite well of psychology-related knowledge at his disposal. As of 2016, he is the current partner of Detective Mortensen, and as of 2019 has a connection with Ruler Eternal that no one can truly understand.
(determined) I'm not giving up that easily, Patefield*. (somewhat pleading) All of this destruction... for what? Why are you doing this? What exactly do you hope to achieve with this madness?
(concern) Mortensen, stay back! He's going to kill you if you don't!
(monstrous) IF I CAN'T STOP YOU, I'LL JUST RIP YOU APART /LIMB BY LIMB!/
NOTE: Calix is pronounced "Cay-liks", Martel is pronounced "Mar-tell", and Cale is pronounced "Cayl" (rhymes with "ale"/"ail")

He is aware that Calix likes him, but he doesn't want to admit to himself or anyone how much so.
Like his grandfather, he is a goofball with a big heart. However, he's also gained his grandfather's bad habit of lying rather often...
(gentle) Mom, you know I love you, but I have to do this. Calix... Well, I... I think he needs me.
(serious) Captain Alexander Wells reporting for duty, your Highness. (pause) (through a smirk) Never saw yourself as King Martel the third, did you, Cale?
(dark) I've lost everything. I have nothing left to lose in this world, so why should any of you? (insane laughter; this is totally optional but I like listening to insane laughter and some people like doing it so why not)

A smart and (sometimes brutally) honest young man who is very loyal to those who are willing to tolerate him occasionally being a smartass. He's rather heroic, even to stupid degrees. He may however be a tad mentally unstable at times...

(muttered bitterly) You'd better stop that, or you're going to be surprised to soon find yourself without friends... (brief pause as he is called a nerd) ... (confused/surprised) "/Nerd?/"

A cynical, morbid young woman who hates liars. She has a hard time displaying her emotions to others, though despite her cold exterior she has a really tender-heart on the inside. She is very serious and business-like, though sometimes she makes very dark jokes with her wry voice. She can't stand it when people can never be serious.
She also may or may not be a bit of a psychopath if not a complete sociopath.
(casual) I have a birthday present for you. ... (cynical/wry) Or maybe it's a curse. I'm not sure.
(awkward) I'll leave you two to it.
(dark) We'll see.

A soft-spoken young man with an intense fear of sleep and madness. He hates other people in general, but even so, he still wants to defend them more than anything from both harm and insanity... by any means necessary.
(desperate) No! Listen, I'm... I'm not like my father! I'M NOT INSANE, YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!
(rising anger) So help me God, if you hurt Ebony or Sam, I'LL KILL YOU!
[King Martel II] (announcing) Everyone, give me your attention! Listen, I know you Italians haven't followed the feudal system in /centuries/, but even so, I'm glad to announce that /I/ am your new king! You will address me as King Martel* the second!

The mother of Samantha Martins and the future love interest of David Henseler. She is terrified, like David, that Felix is dangerous and insane just like his father.
(hushed/accusing) Is that the son of Ruler Eternal?!
(worried) Sam? Sam, come here, dear... Stay away from that boy. He's not well. (aggressive/scared as Felix comes closer) YOU KEEP AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!

The son of King Martel II (Felix Day) and Queen Martel (Samantha Martins). He is very honest, kind, emotional, and loving, and is very much a pacifist.
He has more or less fallen in love with his childhood friend, Alexander Wells, but he is careful in showing it due to the fact that Alex doesn't seem to reciprocate it.
The only thing he hates is King Martel II. He strives to bring world peace, and end strife and wars. He is very noble and heroic, albeit very sensitive.
There is also, however, a scene where he goes completely insane. It's player-dependent, but it's worth mentioning.
(nervous) ... Um, Alex? There's... There's something I need to tell you. I... (sigh, defeated lie) I, uh, may have injured my ankle, so if you start running, I can't follow.
(defensive/upset) What? No no no, I can't be the next King. I... I refuse to take the throne!
(insane) /I/ should've been King! It should've been me on this throne, NOT HIM! (pause) Another obstruction... WELL THEN, I'LL JUST KILL YOU, TOO!

A pessimistic, cynical French Detective. He used to be a lone wolf, preferring to work alone until a partner was forced onto him and later died. Now, he is working with Dr. Cheshire, and when we meet him in-game, he is assigned to the case of Ruler Eternal's victims.
(aggressive; told by Cheshire to back up) What about you?! He'll kill you if you don't stop trying to talk him down!
(worried) Oh God, Cheshire*... Hey, wake up! Can you hear me? Wake up! No, God, please not again...

A quiet, smart young woman trying her best to learn English. She usually keeps to herself and sits around drawing, only making friends with other quiet people like herself. She is very nice and wants to travel the world to learn about other foreign cultures.

(noises of struggling and pain as she is beat) (choked scream of pain as she is stabbed in the chest)

An upbeat young woman who loves K-POP and dancing. She is scared easy and is not fond of gore or violence. She is very well-liked among her classmates, is popular, and is kind-hearted, though she likes to tease others playfully rather often.

(flattered/nervous) (giggle) I should be asking what a smart and handsome young man is doing here... (pause) ... (nervous) Oh, n-n-no, I-...!
(informative, asked her surname) Ganivet*. (nervous/happy) God, it's been a really long time, hasn't it...?

A compassionate, pessimistic, and serious young woman. She is still madly in love with Felix, and is now also madly jealous of Ebony, as she has gained Felix's admiration in her place.
She is confident, stubborn, and defensive of Felix. Not to mention, she's also extremely concerned for his mental (and physical) health...
(concern) Felix! God, you look absolutely horrible... You need to sleep, and goddammit, eat something! You can't keep doing this to yourself!
(horror) Oh my God. F-Felix... What have you done...?!
(skeptical) I hope you know what you're doing, David...

A small, soft-spoken, and gentle young girl. She abhors violence and conflict, and just wants peace. She really never gets angry with anyone, nor does she scare easily. She admires Felix for dealing with what people put him through, but she feels nervous around him enough to want nothing more than to keep away from him.
(confused) Please, why are you screaming at me like that? I didn't do anything...
(solemn) I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with someone like him... He's just too... unstable...
(soothing) There, there... Just take a deep breath and relax. Everything will be okay, Felix.

An aggressive, arrogant young man. He is very tall and very strong, and he likes to abuse his friends, particularly Dustin. However, deep down, he does this to help Dustin toughen up. He is very compassionate and sensitive, though he masks this well by seeming like a right arse.
(annoyed) Shut up. (forceful) Just shut up.
(amused) Ha ha ha ha! (pause as he is told to stop hitting Dustin) (angry) You wanna fight? Do you wanna fight?!
(arrogant) Oh, come on! You guys are so weak!

(asked name) (tense/solemn) Ragsdale. And, yeah, I'm... (heavy sigh) I'm a substitute. Used to be a teacher in Michigan a few days ago.
I... I honestly don't know why they fired me. Maybe I was too much of a goofball with the way I taught my class. I don't know.
All I know is that your teacher left me a little post-it note reminding me to give it to you. So you never know; (teasing) maybe you've got a secret admirer...
